We are in agreement on which is tunnel 1 and which is tunnel 2. In that first picture that west bound looked to me like it was aproaching tunnel 2. On closer look it could be tunnel 1.
In the newer picture it is clearly aproaching tunnel 1.
Were did you get those WP GP40s?

bdaneal is a naughty boy not posting anything on the forums about his new
standard gauge V&T 4-4-0's:(. They even have boiler detail INSIDE the firebox visible inside the cab.

Sabertooth, that's a really great shot. I love the perspectives that you take your shots from. Gives a real sense of size to them.

Slave Driver,

What "era" is your route? Will it include the SP?
What a great TC4&5 yours and Dermmys routes would make.:udrool:

In the plains of Nebraska...

A local pilot out for a spin manages to catch 6936 pulling an excursion out west toward Wyoming.

It's mid 70s so yes it will include the entire SP line going from Stockton to Oakland. Seen as the SP line parallels or is near the WP most of the way, crossing in several places also, It wouldn't be right without it.

Here's a pic from the SP side looking at the WP track between tunnel#2 and #1

And one from the hillside above the SP tracks looking down at the WP.

I know the numbers are wrong but I'm working on getting that fixed! :p

Its 1998, three years before the CN takeover and a southbound out of Fond du Lac with an Ex-Algoma Central SD40-2 and SD45 combo make time heading for Schiller Park.
