Four Corners Railroad #6880, an SD40T-2, leads a manifest with three more tunnel motors in tow, including a dirty DRGW SD40T-2 in 1984. Four Corners kept their tunnel motors exceptionally clean, and were built to DRGW specifications because of power share agreements similar to the MoPac's agreement with the DRGW for coal traffic. The FCRR would be merged into the DRGW in 1987 (but continued to run independently by FCRR management until 1996), then into SP in 1988, then finally into UP in 1996, ending 75 years of service starting in 1921 with the Denver, Albuquerque and Phoenix RR merging with the Salt Lake and El Paso RR.

Hopefully more to come!
