USA Pics

I just picked up the new SW1, and sure enough, that's the default light color. Looks like that's a new thing on some of JR's newest releases. I may have to dig in a bit and see what they did, and see if it's something I can do to older models.

Matt

It's a new headlight flare similar to ones used on Searchlight Sims for TS2022. I dig it.

Leaving Baltimore...

Is that route available? It looks awesome! Very nice pictures by the way!

Hey. Thanks :)

Both routes are off of the DLS (neither are my work), and both were made 10+ years ago, so be advised that they definitely have some issues in Trs19, but they are an absolute blast and I've been having a ton of fun throwing amtrak trains down the corridor and running commuter trains to smaller stations.

Philly-Wilmington is a Ts12 built-in, there are many uploads on the DLS but I am using <kuid:16252:100003> NEC Wilmington - Philadelphia by necman12
Any missing deps should be Ts12/Ts10 built-ins, or locomotives/railcars that the uploader had placed on the route. You shouldn't have any issues and I didn't.

Baltimore-Washington is a DLS upload also, <kuid:184847:100110> Northeast Corridor - Baltimore to Washington (Version 2.0)

There is also <kuid:371851:100040> Northeast Corridor (Part 2: BAL-Perryville)

For the bottom two routes you will need USLW catenaries, since been taken down, but yesterday I was able to find all of their downloads archived through the wayback machine, which can be found here

You will need to download these CDPs from the list (scroll to p)

  • PRRCat4tHigh.cdp
  • PRRCat4tHighrusty.cdp
  • PRRCat4tKTypeHigh.cdp
  • PRRCat4tKTypeHighrusty.cdp

Uhh. It's possible. :D Just need to match with the RGB value of the Headlights. I'd just replaced all the kuids for DLs with it. However its not the right look so I'm going to borrow his flare to make a ditchlight replacement for my use only.

Edit: Needs the rightish color. I'm pulling RGB Values from the flare texture. Just need the right combo. Then I can edit everything to match.

Bingo!

Thank you so much! I don't have any trainz plus stuff so the dls stuff takes forever lol, maybe send the cdp of the dls routes in pms?
That won't help you, the route itself is a only a few kb but the dependencies are what you need. Just DL it over night.

I've been trying to add that type of headlight to Leefer's old hudsons. How do you even go about modifying them to get that realistic look?

Gtasa, are you willing to share your final RGB values? They look great!

Oh yea. I've been having these values since 2020 for JR stuff. RRMods stuff is slightly a lighter color.

JointedRail
light_color 250,240,160
ditch_color 250,240,160

RRMODS
light_color 250,240,170
ditch_color 250,240,170

RGB Value for Ditchlights Texture (using Headlight Flare from therock)
250,220,156

Further ado here's some screen grabs.

new items use 255,255,220 and the <kuid2:37581:90006:1> as the headlight corona.
Not to veer off-topic too much here, but how is a headlight corona set? What about items which are older, and do not have a corona asset assigned for the headlight?

Thanks.

Southbound Amtrak Northeast Regional meets Northbound Septa Regional Rail on the Corridor near Eddystone, PA sometime in 2002.
