The aftermath of the infamous CD&N Dallas Flyer wreck of 1993. At 2350 hours, the Dallas Flyer was traveling on BN track when it flew off the curve going 53 miles an hour. Amtrak loaned the Superliners and is now demanding reparations from the CD&N and the BN, as the CD&N train was on BN track. Both F40PH's were scrapped a year later in 1994, and most of the Amtrak equipment except for the Transition sleeper and the sleeper before it were saved. 27 died that day. As a result, the general public shamed the CD&N, and it took years to rebuild trust in the railroad, especially in their passenger service. This caused a downturn in business and almost saw the retirement of all the F40PH's and their passenger consists. Fortunately, passenger service was kept and the line eventually began to profit off of it.

Nice shots Scratchy. Converted to 36"? I'll be doing that after I've finished playing with that route too.

Any chance you could share which trees you used the replace the originals please? It's ok if not though.
