Hazy summer day along the South Branch Canal, June 17th, 1983...

An N&W job trundles down the jointed rail with a train of empty 85 and 100 ton hoppers pulled from storage from City Harbor Railroad's 8th Street Yard.

Bound for East Lewiston, IL, he will take the Wabash (via C&WI) to get there. In the distance, a pair of ICG units hold down the fort in South Branch Yard.

The NPCR hauls a long coal through the valley... Train C486-1 is headed by Ex-L&N SD40-2 1264, followed by 1275 and 1272.

Headfirst into a sea of suburbans, July 30th, 1997...

Union Ave dispatcher is being brave putting CN M395 (BNSF M-CNIGAL) head-first into the evening outbound Metra rush, but what must be done, must be done.

The crew onboard is nearly fifteen minutes away from dying on the law and this train must reach Western Ave for the hand-off. This afternoon, it's all about timing.

CN M395 is seen here clambering down the St. Charles Air Line overpass, currently a property of the B&OCT.

This freight originates in Toronto MacMillan Yard and terminates in Galesburg, via the BN.

Aren't those ATSF B40-8's from VMD? They don't completely look like Sporbust's version.

I wonder how you were able to get them into VMD despite VMD's old payware site dying in early 2009? CDP of it tossed to the new versions?

epa has been around here for quite a while. It is probable that he got those when VMD was still open.
