NS NB train#854 makes it's way over 670 in Columbus, Ohio.. this is called "railroad alley" and was the former site of a large PRR yard some years ago. For some reason I have vehicle traffic on every other road but this highway??

CSX has taken the job of moving the Strasburg Thomas to a new location to show off the independent moving capability of it. (Though it can move by itself, CSX locomotives were put in place because the *ahem* Fat Controller says so) Compared to the other Thomas engines which are dummy engines and require a diesel or steam locomotive to make it move. Note the exterior cylinders due to FRA requirements...

Um....thomas is a british tank engine. So it doesnt really belong in the USA pics.

It would somewhat belong if the screenshot is an American Day out with Thomas event.

Some BCR SD40-2's made their way south, and are seen hauling a westbound manifest in 1983 Ohio.

At least with Thomas there's hopes of bringing some more people into the Railfan league. Seems to me it's a dying hobby, worldwide.

I remember there used to be electric train sets at Walmart... not any more.

I don't know what Walmart you shop at ... but there have never been "ANY" model trains in the Walmart stores I have been to, "EVER" ... Walmart is chock full of useless fluff of Chinese junk from the Pacific Rim ... everything you never needed .. and more
