From the first shot (top of thread page), it's really awesome to see a MP36 first look in Trainz! Hope it'll be released in the near future. I would be happy to reskin it to as many commuter rail providers.

Nice skins CSXT17 & nice engines Ryan, and nice pics all :).

OK, let's actually do the WP justice today...

In 1949, we observe the California Zephyr traversing the famous Altamont Pass in California. It's only been a few months since the train's inauguration, and the WP hasn't yet taken delivery of their FP7s. EMD F3s 801A/B/C do the job today with ease as they bring the train towards the Oakland Mole.

Next up, and headed in the opposite direction, is train number 2, the Scenic Limited. Although this train would later be discontinued along with the WP section of the Royal Gorge, it's enjoying a renaissance of sorts in it's final years of operation.

Just shy of thirty years later, it would seem that little has changed. The WP has discontinued steam altogether, and even the first generation F units and GPs that finished them off are starting to become far and few in between. In late 1969, we see three GP40s and a GP7 lead a manifest freight over Altamont. It's the end of an era, as already Pearlman green is starting to invade the proud "Zephyr" orange and silver. The California Zephyr itself is living on borrowed time, as the WP is amidst court hearings, begging the ICC to allow them to discontinue the train, citing millions in losses in the past year. But all of that is in the future, and as of now, the future still seems bright for the sleek domeliner.
