can we get back ontopic please?

I thought the whole point of these forums was to post screenshots and get feedback/help

Maybe you guys can give each other a link to the source of your colour information so to settle it once and for all (or take it out of the screenshot thread)?

Sorry, I didn't know it was a crime to have people ask me questions then help me out, and no, I don't have a source as it's one I made up to match photos with the enviro and specular map as the sky changes the look in trainz, I just posted the values I used incase anyone was interested.

Here's how it looks with the R,G,B values people have provided me, due to the enviro and specular map making it light it looks very bright and more like BNSF, lol
This is in TS12 SP1 HF4, I bet it'll be much lighter in T:ANE, if anyone has values they think will work with the enviro and specular maps you can PM me the values and I'll try them out, other than that I'll be going back to the original values I had, so please do not reply back in this thread.

Cheers.

This one is dedicated to you Azervich. :)

The railroad operated more than 5,000 miles (8,000 km) of track as of the turn of the 20th century, and over 12,000 miles (19,000 km) of track in seven states before retrenchment in the late 1970s.

If I am correct did the C&NW abandon some of the lines I see here especially out on the western side of the Mississippi River?

I know it was a few days ago since the RGB value situation was brought up, but for the most accurate GN colors, here's your best bet:
http://www.gnrhs.org/rs28_page_8.htm

Historical associations will often be your best source for accurate colors when it comes to reskinning stuff. Just save the paint chip and use the eye dropper tool in whatever photo editing program you use and you'll have the RGB values in no time. I wouldn't trust model paint samples like the huge one seen 2 pages ago since not all model paints are close to the color they say they are. That was a Polly Scale paint sample, which isn't close to the Pullman green used by the GN in spite of being named "GN Empire Builder Green". I'd say the Pullman green used on the NW2 3 pages back is accurate, but it could be darker to better resemble GN's locomotives that were painted orange before 1967, which was when they introduced their "Big Sky Blue" paint scheme.
