Wait, what are two freshly painted CSX C40-8Ws doing in California?

That is not unheard of, it was weird the first time I saw some in Oakland a few months back. Even more interesting, I saw a Union Pacific patched CNW dash 9 on that same day, paint still looked very good. But, I was driving at freeway speed with no place to stop and snap a picture.

CSX visitors roll through here all the time. I've spotted plenty of them in just the past year. The NS visitor is more of a rarity up here though. I call em visitors if they're not UP LOL

I've seen ex-Santa Fe units with the Santa Fe still there (I HAVE PICS!), UP, KCS, BNSF, CSX, NS, and CN in Pennsylvania. My first BNSF units were on one train, another passed by, and the next one after that was the 1st CN I've seen. I think I saw a C40-8M wide cab once, but it was dark and I passed at highway speed so I'm not sure. I also saw an NS SD70 (standard cab) number 2535 on that same train. Also, yesterday I saw some CSX MoW Equipment, after that I saw a Septa train.

My hometown is right on the original stretch of the L&N. Today just about all you see is CSX. The normal visitors are CITX, UP, RJ Corman, and an occasional NS (funny since NS is closer to the area than UP). BNSF is a true rarity here, but every once in a while you can spot one; but mostly all you see here is CSX Geeps, 40-2's/-3's, and a LOT of CW40's. It seems like they run most of the older stuff around here.
