I would say more like: these are ugly.............sorry.
Rail4Pete
I readjusted the textures a little with Irfanview. What do you think about the ugliness of these?
I will admit I am not very knowledgeable about UP operations. I do know they interchanged with the DRG&W in Denver when they both operated from there, and I believe they were both moving coal from the PRB. I know I've seen pictures of strings of DRG&W coal cars coming over Tehachapi which were headed for either Creel for the cement plant there, or out on the Jawbone branch. For lack of better evidence assume this is the empties returning via the UP to the PRB. That's my story, anyways, and I'm stickin' to it.Nice work there Mchawkman that has a great atmosphere to it, Did DRG&W operate in that area at all ?.
Cheers Mick.
Sorry for quoting a pic, but did you make the elevators in this picture or did you find them somewhere? They look great, and would love to have them on some of my routes.MNPDV UP3187 passes an empty northbound coal train at Nunn, CO.

Great pics Conrail45! Liking those Dash-9s! May I ask, did you weather the white/red Industrial-series building in the background? I feel like those buildings are much too bright when I'm building a route. Or are the photos facing South and we're on the non-sun side? It doesn't appear to be that way on the locos. I'm assuming your choice of clouds makes no difference on the effects of the "sun"... Is it just my eyes deceiving me, or have you done something to tone down brightness a bit? There are plenty of good buildings to use, but too often I find them to be too bright and unrealistic to match the rest of the scenery and the weathered trains. Always looking for new tips and techniques! Thanks!
Thanks for the comments guys!
Playing around with different scenery... Open to suggestions if anyone sees something out of place or something that can be improved!
