USA Pics

D_R,

I am going to go out on a limb here, and I'll let nikita correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that is looking at the Cal Cement pit in Colton, CA.

Hopefully this link will get you reasonably close: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=176+...F-8&ei=QcyTUtuPAqjXyAGHp4G4Dw&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAg

I used StreetView and went to the Rancho Ave. overpass where you can look back and see the pit pretty clearly.

When I saw this pic I was 100% certain that is what he was showing, as I have been by there more times than I care to remember. But I could be completely off-base, and if so I'll let nikita correct me as to where this shot actually is.

As someone who lives in SoCal, the shots in this thread are quite revealing as to just how close one can get to the real thing in Trainz, even if the person creating them is working from half a world away. :-)

Regards,
MSP

-You are correct! The shot is pretty much taken at the Colton diamond, looking west. He's just missing the flag on the top of the hill lol:hehe:

A storm races over an NS empty coal train as it sits on the main and waits for a crew to hop on and take it back out west..

Nice work Chris can i ask what Route that is please mate ?.
Cheers Mick.:)
Mick, that would be my own little WIP known as Indian Creek. Its a small little switching layout I built. Its moving closer and closer to a release a Trainz Divide, but it at the least is probably several days away. I have a lot of fun doing switching jobs as you can see, so I decided, why don't I build one for myself to play on. I gotta thank good ole Dave for those awesome Gensets.
Thanks for taken a notice!
And as always,
Have fun!
