I don't know how long 300 cars is in feet, but if you see any monster 12,000ft trains, they can cause an unmistakable traffic nightmare if its a sluggish kind of day. I've seen some 10,000 and 11,000ft monsters, but the 12,000ft MNPHK is elusive....
If I am using 50' or longer, 300 times 50 = 15,000 or longer, not including locomotives.

A special run on the Hudson line. Amtrak P42 hauling some superliners to Penn Station. This was taken just south of Beacon, NY. The next stop is Croton Harmon

WCL, amazing shot!:)
If not a secret, where did you get that candian units?

Malikrthr,
Superliners can`t be hauled to Penn Station due to their height. Anyways, nice shot :)

Just some shots on the A&SE. Caught the CSX interchange local coming into the South Yard (West Yard was closed for maintenance) with a blue GP40-2 before heading down to Oak Grove, where I caught a Northbound Amtrak, a southbound coal drag, and a northbound ballast train.

Thanks! I'll have to look for a KUID for you. I was looking for a modern amtrak station sign, found that billboard, and decided it looked nice there. Built the rest of the seen around it.

Many thanks to davesnow for the GP40-2W(H) and his help, and to Ivansokolov for the Scripted MARC Cars (lights, ditchlights etc)
