Hello conrail_3004 and csxt17 wants to thank you for the compliment. ( I just talked to him ) Those are trainz666's trees.Hi csxt17, nice shot of the PC gone but not forgotten, I was wondering what trees are those in the back ground, thanks
Another tourist run on the New Hope Valley Railway with #17 making its way out of Bonsal.
*snip*
They have tracks that go northeast and northwest out of the yard. The Northeast track is the one that is currently used for their excursion trains and was completed in the 1970's to reroute the train around Jordan Lake. The original line, built in 1906, goes northwest out of the yard along Beaver Creek Road and goes through the area where Jordan Lake is today. The NHV only owns a small piece of this track and is used for storage, the rest is abandoned but the rails and ties are still mostly in place. So wait, does the NHVRy Go north out of Bonsal, or east? I was looking at that a few nights back on Google Earth, and the connecting track to the east looks like it's gone; however the website seems to imply that's the way they go, to the east.
