After crossing the bay, North-bound commuters enter a sharp corner due to the mountains. When ARBX upgraded the line for regular commuter service, the Clark County DOT decided to upgrade the road, removing two crossings and wrapping the road around the track. You can still see the old road.

A South-bound commuter service heading towards Clark International Airport crosses the road and enters a new tunnel built to cut thru the mountains instead of wrapping around it, like the Northern Service. There is a problem with the signals at the moment.

Dedicated to the memory of my Grandfather, who once aspired to build this in N-gauge.

Very nice Ted! I guess I no longer need to build that route in Trainz. I just so happen to have that layout sitting here in my house. It was built by a WWI veteran, but he was no longer able to get downstairs to operate the layout due to arthritis. He asked a member of the railroad club I'm a part of if he knew any good homes for it. A short time passed and now it sits in my house. The layout has great potential and is a blast to operate. Thanks for making my evening Ted.

Thank you both!

I should have mentioned that in order to get the curves to be at least somewhat reasonable, I enlarged the route by a factor of 3. So what was a 4' x 8' layout is now about 12' x 24' in N-scale.

Great job on the route Ted! Looks awesome! (And I love the place names!)

Peter- nice touch with the abandoned overgrown road inside the curve.

Thanks, H222 and simulatortrain!

... What are the houses you've used there? ...

The ones with basements (lower three rows) are "House Sears Bungalow 02" by gfisher, and some color variations reskinned by dricketts.
The ones on piers (upper two rows) are "Miners House 01" by gfisher, again there are some reskins by dricketts and mikeman.

@frogpipe: Great layout! Only those TRS04 log and lumber industries and those cars do not fit in to your wonderful style... (should be read as a compliment, not as criticism :)).

Felix
