Im actually waiting on JR to come out with their PRR signals, then I'll just use the replace asset tool. Until then, the searchlights are the only ones that work with the setup. If i can find the patience, i will replace signals with grahamsea's PRR signals, but until the project is complete, or JR releases their signals, the searchlights will stay up. Also, for those wondering about the textures and trees, they all came from mcguirel, with the exception of the ones I havent been able to change yet.

Hallo,

I love your screens – there is just one issue I want to leave some words about.
As I do route creation since 2002, I faced the problem about nice looking ground textures. With increased PC power, more detailed and nice looking ground textures became possible. During this process I often saw that detailed ground texture contains blades of grass of a size which compares more with the size of a sleeper than with the size of grass. The texture just looks great but the dimensions of the blades of grass just comes up far too large in comparison with the other objects.
Besides a nice and realistic looking texture it is also of some importance to keep the relations and the dimensions close to the real thing.
The route has very nicely been reworked and redesigned and the used ground texture looks even much more detailed than the texture used before. The texture now also looks very nice in the middleground and in the background. But some of the grass blades just beside the road looks as big as the while lines at the road, which is just a little big.

I hope one day, we will have ground texture and PC power to support detailed texture with includes detail features of a size which is more close to reality as we now have. :)

Your’s TUME

:)

@Tume, Believe it or not, I actually tried to get the texture to go small scale, but it looked kinda bad. I'll try to do it again, and monkey with it to see if I can get a good compromise. the tiling of the texture made it look really bad, but that was before I changed the rest of the textures.

@renelta, that route reeks PRR and eastern railroading! Great job! A good suggestion might be to do a "water level route" on the tracks that are closer to the river and have the catenary up top.

I'm using gfisher's PRR Catenary, so I'm limited to what he has out. I have DL&W catenary from him as well, but it doesn't match too well with PRR Catenary. Also, my requirement is that the catenary allow JR Double Stack trains. If I can get my hands on what I think you're talking about, then I'll do that.

anyone have or know of a good seasonal track/ballast texture set I can use? I just tried the ultratrack and it kinks horribly in my yards.

@scratchy that's the HP Coram bridge. The 4-track bridge (in case you're wondering) is the MB Quad Plate Girder Bridge, with bridge sup06 4trk wide under it.

I think you need MPRX to get it.

Splines and track cant be made seasonal for some reason, i was in the same boat as you too. :p

I'm actually about to take the JR Ballast textures and try to kitbash them with the UltraTexture Ballast and make at least the ballast seasonal.

Hi Jcamlx55
Splines/Tracks can be made seasonal in TS12, however at the moment I don't know of any that support this function.

Regards
