Early morning in the high desert of Northern Arizona. I thought this was kind of a cool shot. This is from my (practice) Arizona route. I’m really just trying different techniques and textures for mesas and other terrain features. I’m not a big route builder yet. I don’t know if I’ll ever be. That being said, if I were to do this some day it would include Flagstaff AZ, maybe Williams to the West and Winslow and beyond to the East. This shot, at least in my mind, is in the Lupton area near the New Mexico border. With terrain from higher alpine to desert plateau, plus some cool route 66 stuff it could be an interesting route.

Thanks for the comments. When I do route 66 in Winslow Arizona I’ll have to include “It’s a girl my lord in a flat-bed Ford slowin’ down to take a look at me”. Actually they do have a statue there dedicated to the Eagles song Take it easy.
