Just a question about route building. How do you make curves smooth? Any help would be helpful.

Some real good route building help found here. He covers it all.

It takes allot of practice, trail and error. I really don't know how to explain it. But I been using track guides that snap into the grid on strait sections and it makes it way easier to keep track aligned and when you go to make a curve you don't have to worry about the strait track moving.

Kon - I noticed that you're using twinkles for your steam locos. Is there an easy way to configure locos for twinkles and if so please direct me in that direction? Thank you and keep up with those screens, great shots.

Enginewhistle: Yes I would say that curve is just a little to tight for the longer cars. I would at least double the size of it if you have the room. A general rule is if the middle of the car hangs off the inside of the track alot, it is to tight.

I believe that Twinkles smoke effects 5 CDP's require the steam loco config file smoke tags to be changed ... I still do not understand Twinkles yet.

The prototype Horseshoe Curve is the metric equivelent of FT 325m R Track (906' R), and autoracks negociate that curve.

all you do is copy the something from a euro steam engine ( i forget the exact info) and paste it into the stack.fx on Bens engine file. I have a file saved I copy and paste for quick changing..

stouhm: You must down load #141 Renfe it has the smoke you want..Open up CM, find the download.. right click on it, open con-fig file of the engine..You do this through explorer..The first page that opens up find "vapor1ms"..High-lite and copy..Go and find your engine and open up con-fig. and the first page that opens paste the "vapor1ms"..The only engines that I have found that will do this is Ben Neals engines..Now go into the con-fig itself and find "stack.tfx" type in "vapor1ms.tfx"..
Oh by the way you Download the 141 from trensim.com..Let me know if it works out for you..
