George

Thanks for providing my screen wallpapers for this week! Lovely shots and just the right aspect ratio for my big screen at work..

I notice there are some grainy, white graphical artifacts in the far distance on the ground in both shots. I sometimes get that when I fiddle with my computer's anti-aliasing level to reduce the fuzziness in Trainz (or is it anisotropic filtering, I always get those two confused because I don't really know what the terms mean).

Is there a way to have sharpness in Trainz without the long-distance graphical artifacts?

I use an Nvidia card (7900GS) if that's relevant.

I get those when I increase the daytime fog levels to provide a haze. They disappear if I decrease the fog levels. I don't know how to get rid of them.

A WSOR local is busy at work, switching some local industries in town

Canadian Pacific train no. 185 heads west on the main track one near the outskirts of town on May 24th, 2006. The train is led by 2 new GE ES44ACs, with no. 8775 on the point, and had 84 multi-level auto racks trailing the auto parts boxcars for a total length of 7,867 feet.

Thanx....Just trying to get back into the swing of things....Keep up the good work Mike

One more to add:

This is the WSOR Horicon to Janesville job, this train has trackage rights over the CN and heads north at Grand Ave in Waukesha, it gets back onto its own rails at Slinger Jct in Slinger. This pic was taken on the old Wisconsin and Calumet line before that it was the old Milwaukee Road line from Janesville to Milwaukee and came thru Waukesha.
