I normally never do this...

These are pictures of an N Scale Model RailRoad that I have been working on (this is the dream layout that I never had the space or funds to build). Thanks to all the content creators for the fantastic content on the DLS.

 Hello Mr. Rogdee, I have never seen anyone present a route as a model in a walkaround space...

Thanks for your pics, they needed one more page...

The beauty of this is a camera can be positioned at ground level in a way that off baseboard can't do, nor can you do with elevated terrain behind you.

Great work, I also am working on a dream route but it's based on a 5x8 baseboard walk-around...

That is one sweet lil layout ya got going there....Hope to see more pix of it

Thanx for sharing

Hello RogDee,

This looks a superb little route, I love your attention to detail, it makes a layout so more appealing and life-like I think personally, and I'll be following your progress with interest.
I just wanted to ask how you got that mound so symmetrical, especially at the front, the edges look kind of bevelled, if you understand my meaning, did you use a special tool in Auran's arsenal of goodies, I cannot get my mounds to look like that at all.....They all end up with razor sharp edges.

I use the topology tools to make a mound, then I use pieces of track to make a smooth slope on all sides. I finish by use the adjust height tool to round any remaining points. Hope this Helps.

Well I never did, fancy using tracks like that, I would never have guessed in a million years, thank you for that explanation, I'll give it a go.......

The first Trainz version of Gore and Daphited (sp?) had such walk arounds. Whe I reworked it I filled the isles with scenery. Both are on the DLS.

Funny thing while running the extra from Snyder to Roscoe this morning, seems we had a foamer following us all the way in this cherry red 59 Impala!
