Top: L&EI Train 945 exits Van Wert, OH westbound with 93 cars for Piqua Yard in Fort Wayne. 945 is a road local that works customers between Fort Wayne and Lima, as well as delivers Lima bound local cars and picks up outbound cars from the CCOH Cole St Yard in Lima. The property line between L&EI and CCOH is just west of Cole St Yard, however per the negotiated agreement; the CCOH crews can operate only through trains to Piqua Yard for more efficient crew changes, while the L&EI still handles the customer work.

Bottom: Train 945 passes the yard tower at the middle of Piqua Yard and is running the "Inbound Lead" which is exactly as it's described; Lead to the inbound yard. Once yarded, 945 can put the power away and the yard job will sort out the train. Overnight there will be manifest train 313 which runs from Weirton, WV to the IHB Gibson Yard in Chicago. It will crew change at Piqua Yard, then pick up the switched out IHB Gibson bound cars from 945 and finish the run west into Chicago.​
