USA Pics

As the fog rolls off Lake du Bay here at Knowlton Wi, we catch a CN Herzog ballast train making its way across the bridge on its way south towards Junction City early this morning

Hello all Stateside cleaning out my screenshot folder tonight,A few shoots of my favorite loco's & routes,

Hey, how are you getting the containers onto your well-stack cars? Also, what industry/building are you using to do so?

That last pic is very interesting...Never seen a yard like that before with like a diamond in there

Continued from before:
After talking with the Chief Mechanic and the Chief Engineer, It was decided that we'd put #27 in the shops for a small check-up as our shops do not have the equipment nor the money to do major a overhaul.
The RS3 pushes GN #27 onto the turntable to head over to the shops.

#27 gets pulled off the turntable

#27 gets its tender dropped off in the car shops

#27 gets dropped off in the engine shop

After looking it over the report came back: It looks real good on the outside but on the inside....:o So I got in contact with our sister railroad, the Pine Valley RR.(My modified version of Highland Valley Industries) They have much better steam facilities as they are a museum with dozens of steam engines. They will be taking #27 for a major overhaul. The tender will stay with us as we can do the repairs in our shops. When we are done we will also send over the tender. Because there is no longer a branchline between our mainlines we have to move the engine on a special truck our RR owns.

To be Continued...

KD, superb screenies as always, however, in that last shot how did you manage to get those flatcars across the junction, do they have swivelling bogies 'cos those look like being at 20 degree angles betwen the first and second wagon, you wouldn't be able to negotiate an 86 foot boxcar across there, would you ???

I dont normally take the long cars in that yard...I have another yard just south that is more large car friendly...the pic I took I had noticed that the larger flat cars couplers dont match when cruising through that curve entrance/exit. Thanks for asking and thanks for the compliments...:)

You're extremely welcome, and thank you for explaining that to me, your talent is seen across the world, and we do like what we see.....
Good luck with your little project and keep those screenies coming, 'cos we luv 'em....

A single CN unit leads the daily SB thru Wausau's old yard...The front end of the train has a big block of woodchip cars from the Biewer Sawmill up in Prentice

In the yard....Power cut off from the train and the unit is pulled up and awaits its cab

Hi Slave-drive. That's a pretty shot. May I suggest using a slightly darker texture underneath the trees as their shadows? I have tried and it looks pretty good.

Cheerio,
Nicholas.

You definitly do have your own style of routes dont you bill...:hehe:

still playing around with 1200x150, actually alot harder to get than full screen
