I bet the idea for the builtin ones was come up with on April 1st and was actually a prank for the entire Trainz community.:hehe:
Also, if you didn't know, you can go to Main Menu, Edit Environment, and you can pick the season to make the trees look a little better.

I was actually aiming to make an average Kentucky winter scene (leave-less trees and partially dead grass), but with a cloudy/foggy feel. However if using the version of the route that optimizes Pofig's greenery, this wouldn't be able to be accomplished because they don't use the season/time-of-year effect that these do.
