Wait wait wait, so I haven't been here since Thursday but I come back and find multiple people with Big Boy's and Frisco's so what happened? It doesn't look like there's many answers thanks to Jackson and trainman with all their sorcery and wizardry though :hehe:

I'm really enjoying this route. Well worth the money spent.

The LE&E bought six Hudsons from Alco for their Western Division in 1929, then went back for six more in 1938. In 1939 (the year my railroad is set), all of the Hudsons received mars lights. The 1938 batch of Hudsons were delivered with Wabco E2 airhorns and cast pilots, while the 1929 built Hudsons were retrofitted with Leslie A200 airhorns and kept their original pilots.

Here we see a later class Hudson hauling a westbound through "the Canyon." The Hudsons were designed as dual service engines, and as such, were able to haul fast freights at speeds up to eighty miles per hour and passenger trains up to ninety miles per hour on the relatively flat Western Division.

Originally I was going to have the LE&E order un-streamlined Northern types in 1938, but this new Hudson that I kitbashed looks too good. For now, the T-1 lookalikes will have to wait, as I'm not sure if the LE&E needs another dual service engine.
