USA Pics

@ deadpool - lots of nice little touches in that lot! The McDonald's one has probably the most convincing row of speedtrees I've seen in a screenshot....

;)

Hmm.. Seeing as how that is my route, and 90% of the details and structure of the route is my work... I guess I should throw in a Thank you for you comment. ;) Great Screenies of the route Justin!

I hate to quote a picture, but deadpool tell me why this unit has no headlight?? You posted a shot of this unit on the last page, and I'm still curious!

I hope the FRA and NTSB aren't around.. That engineer would be fired if they were or, that engine would be taken out of service because it does not have working headlights...

Oops - my bad! Lots of nice touches there and the McDonald's shot.......

:) :)

Quoting a picture, so shoot me!

It's on the last page and I wanted to make a point. Is it a 'spectacular' screenshot - well at first glance prolly not, but there is something about that dark ground texture, the choice of grass, the single line with the coal empties swinging under to who-knows-where, the trio of super-power contrasting with the switchers on the bridge, the distant tower..

The shot just screams major train yard without actually showing anything. I can smell the hot oil and the diesel fumes looking at that shot, I swear I can. In fact I don't just look, I get sucked right into a living breathing railroad.

It's brilliant.....

Here around a tight curve in Oceanside, Ca we can see some 89 foot drawbar connected flat cars getting worked on a tight curve!

11th avenue and Elm street are getting tackeled by the local. We see typically 2 to 3 locals between the Amtrak San Joaquins and BNSF Traffic.

This is that same local farther out in the country, just had to do a closer shot!

That darn light! Its been bolted right in the middle of the parking lot and I just noticed it! After I drug test an employee I'm going to fix it myself! (God that local again, love the horn too!)

Work thru Laton, Ca is still in development, but this custom bridge has about 15 hours put into it!

williamb73201212150001.jpg

With this route its important to me that construction is real enoufgh. I get too many complaint of other professional route that has floating grass near bridges, or no abutments, etc.
