My little side route (WIP) of the Charleston & Western Carolina's (SAL) Port Royal Branch. This is Yemassee Yard in Yemassee, SC on the now CSX Charleston Sub. Track arrangement is pre-1980s and the full diamond and wyes of Yemasee are being recreated from topo maps and old photos as best as possible. Google Earth and lat / longitude gets the tracks into place where they should be. This will be a nice little branch line route with several industries scattered about the line. MCAS Beaufort will also have tracks for switching the Marine air base there. The line terminates in Port Royal, SC.

Looking southwest in Yemassee Yard.

Low Country swamps are good gator hid outs, so beware! Don't forget them rattlers too!
