USA Pics

No, I'm sorry I won't and I can't release them.

1. I'm not a JR team member.
2. It's my Railroad. I worked really hard on them and I don't want them to be "stolen". Nothing against you, but yeah...

But thanks for the comment!

And this?

This two engines are JR SD40-2's. But the reskin was build by dermmy. You can find this engines in the JR Freeware section in EVWR Packs as EVWR Locomotive Pack #5.

yes, but JR worked on those skins with him, and released them in co-operation as freeware to go with his EVWR route. SD45T-2 is reskinning payware engines, and if he were to release them as freeware, he could be breaching copyrights and potentially be in a LOT of trouble. (BTW, can we lay off SD45 for poor word choice? He may have said "Stolen" but everyone knows what he means--well, at least I did...)

You are welcome that you didn't have to work harder on them.

Oh wait, I forgot to mention that you made the mesh, and therefore, you have control over it. And I can't violate your agreement. (Which I have read too many times, states that no public re-skins are allowed. Aka re-skins that have been released.)

And when I mean stolen, I meant taken by nefarious people and then well, claim it as their own work. Which has happened to people I know.

(Maybe I should stop writing legal agreements. They seem to be poorly worded.)

(Another wonderful pic removed)
I refuse to believe you aren't living in or haven't visited the Central Valley at some point. There are subtleties shown in your pictures that someone not from the Valley wouldn't catch.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time."Abraham Lincoln, (attributed)
I'm on to you, xawery. :p

On a related note: the Central Valley is quite humid, relatively speaking. A combination of extensive irrigation systems, and just natural meteorological conditions of the Valley being trapped between the Sierra Nevadas to the east and the Coastal Ranges to the west, create large inversion layers which tend to trap moisture in the air. Historically speaking this was not always the case; prior to the late 1890's - 1900's much of the Central Valley resembled more desert like conditions than seen now after 100+ years of agricultural build-up. The reason I bring this up is that in the Valley many days the 'view distance' is not as clear as we see in Trainz, and humidity haze, coupled with pollution, obscures the horizon. In the late fall / early winter colder weather combined with winds can drive the haze away for a day or two, and you can actually see the Sierras to the east, and the Coastals to the west. But more often than not the air in the distance often more resembles a hazy day, even when there is not a cloud in the sky. And in the winter, well, it can be 70 degrees and clear in San Francisco, and up in Sonora / Auburn, but down in the Valley it will be 55 degrees, overcast & gloomy with Valley fog. This can last for weeks, and sometimes months, without let-up. It is one of the things that I do not miss about living there.

Another great shot, xawery!

Thank You for your comment. It's great to hear such compliements from a person who lived in that area. That means a lot to me. You have to believe that i have never been to USA let alone Central Valley. I simply spend a lot of time on Google Maps analyzing various aspects of prototype (street view is the best thing ever created). I will start my own thread soon since the route is about 80% done.
Thank you for your insights on weather. I will experiment with various skies and fog settings when i find some time.

I agree, that's a great shot!

Ok, some days I wonder.

Justin, how did you get JR's Dash 9's? I'm not going to ask for them, but I'm just wondering.

By the way, nice shots.
