Upside-down lists?

Do any of you have lists in your "Find Objects" pull-down list in Driver and/or Surveyor that are in reverse alphabetical order?

Maybe this is what happens when we use Australian software north of the Equator. Wouldn't be a hoot if we're really the ones who are living upside-down, and not the Aussies?

P.S. Not a big deal. Just curious.

I don't know which Trainz you have, I assume TRS2004 or more recent, but in the list where the heading is (in grey by default) next to where it says "Asset Name" is a very small arrow. Click on that arrow will put the list either in forward or reverse order!

(This little arrow appears by the heading on each listing, bu the way.)

Hope that helps

Ian

I don't see the small arrow you are referring to, Ian. I'm using TRS2009.

The lists on the right side of the screen (Paint Brush, Objects, Trains, etc.) are in the correct order. It's the ones that appear when I click Main Menu, then "Find Object..." from the bar at the top of the screen. In, say, Vehicles, the UP loco is at the top of the list and the ATSF locos are at the bottom.

I don't want to take a lot of everyone's time for this. I can live with it this way. Thanks for your replies, Dermmy and Ian.

I think the programmer got his/her sorting algorithim wrong.

Let's see ... is it bubbles up or rocks down?

The frustration I have is that in versions 06 and later the 'forward' sorting puts 'A' before 'B', but within the 'Bs' it puts (for example) 'BN' after 'BNSF' which is I suspect an algorithm problem as suggested by Irving...

Andy :)
