Wasn't implying I'm perfect there, just that I had double-checked my config in AssetX for typo's etc. and found none.
I've now uploaded an update of my old 'Corrugated iron fence 01' and given it a category-class SF (the code for Spline - Fence). According to information still current in the uploads pages, the category-class tag is supposed to be the primary determinant of DLS category as per the following heirarchy;
Type/Class:
The type and class of your Content is determined in the following order:
Class Example: category-class AD
Kind Example: kind engine
KUID Range Example: kuid <KUID:1234:5678> kuid <KUID2:1234:5678:1>
Note: If the Download Station is unable to determine the category by the Class then it checks the kind, then the KUID Range.
In the uploads waiting area, I see the fence is listed having the following properties;
Content subcategories for Terrain Features
Era 1940
Code - Country UK - United Kingdom
Class None
Notice how the Class has been lost or ignored (why?) but it has been put under 'Terrain Features' (whatever that means - it's not one of the broad categories on the Black Pages DLS). The fence is a Kind Track object and has a kuid in the 37000's, which according to N3V's old system is appropriate for non-rail splines.
Download Station - KUID Range Table
(Category associations for Download Station purpose only)
37000 -37999 Splines (including Roads, Powerlines etc)
So I've done my best to say it's a spline fence item which normally puts it under 'Scenery' on the Black Pages.
It will be interesting to see just where the bot places this one.
