Upload working session as complete route

Not sure if I can explain this very clearly but here goes - I have just started experimenting with uploading content. If I have a route which includes a working session, is there any way to upload to the DLS this session as a separate working route, rather than as a session contained within a route? For instance I have a route which, when you try to edit in surveyor, seems to be missing a lot of assets and track etc yet editing in the actual session shows the entire contents. Hope someone can understand what I am getting at. If I am doing something completely wrong with my routes and sessions any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like you are getting confused regarding layers. For some reason Trainz defaults to the session layer so it's necessary to check this before placing route objects.

I didn't realise about default to session layer, thanks for that info. Does this mean that I will have to go back and replace all the session assets into the route layer or is there a quicker way around it?

You can merge the layers with just a few clicks in that layer menu.

As a guide line:
Place everything in the route layer (or layers stored with your route), except for train vehicles (so you and anyone who uses your route can use different trains for different sessions).
