Updated Boot Camp (Imac) woes :(

Zephyr_Pilot

Frustrated
G'day guys,

I run Trainz2010 on my Imac under Boot Camp.
Well, today my World came tumbling down around my ears - Boot Camp was updated and now I cannot get 2010 to start using OpenGL (damnit).

Direct X runs like a PII and is as jerky as all get out. Previously in OpenGL it ran flawlessly, a real joy.

If we have any smart Imac users here who have resolved this issue, could you please pass on the secret. I have tried updating the drivers, reinstalling Trainz and no bloody good at all, fiddled with all the settings, nbg.... :'(:'(

This ol' f*rt is really p!ssed off.

Quad i7 @2.93 G, 16g ram, ATI HD 5750 1G VC 27"mon.

IKf anyone has the phone number of the ratbag who decided to update Boot Camp, please pass that on as well so I can ring him in the middle of the night to complain.... :hehe:

Found the following in the Trainz launcherLog.txt in the installation folder and have no idea what it means....
Can't be good.

Begin:
? 0:00.1 : DataManager::RegisterTrainzBumpVertexType> Unable to load 'm.tbumpcoltex'
? 0:00.1 : DataManager::RegisterTrainzBumpVertexType> Unable to load 'm.tbumpglosscol'
? 0:00.1 : DataManager::RegisterTrainzBumpVertexType> Unable to load 'm.tgroundonetex'
? 0:00.1 : DataManager::RegisterTrainzBumpVertexType> Unable to load 'm.tgroundonetexvs'
? 0:00.1 : InterfaceTextDB> failed to load compiled interfacetext file
? 0:00.1 : InterfaceTextDB> failed to load compiled interfacetext file
End.

JetLog.txt file is way too long to post... Stone the crows, it is 385k!!

Any takers?

Launcherlog means nothing, we all get that I'm afraid, think it's due to some redundant code that got left in.

The jetlog will probably down to your bootcamp problem with OpenGL, I think it just adds on to the log so it probably isn't as bad as it looks, probably several launches worth. I'm afraid my Mac is a real one, pre Intel, so can't help on the Bootcamp problem.

Tried reinstalling the graphics drivers?
I would imagine though that if it is a problem with bootcamp and OpenGL it will have surfaced on one of the Mac forums by now?

Thanks for the suggestion Malc, unfortunately though, as far as I can tell the vid drivers are Boot Camp specials, I tried installing the ATI updates from their site, but appears the Boot Camp drivers take precedence.

Here is a copy of the Jetlog from 23/11:
