UP vs CN over EJ&E

Uncle Pete wants the 'J to hold up the deal until they can work out their trackage rights with CN.

It just another hoax. CN has been yippin' about this for a year in May. Lets get things moving! And all those suburbs, complaining about extra noise, who cares, just get the railroad moving. Whats good about the deal with CN is they will still allow Amtrak to use the Illinois Central line into Union Station.
My question is, what are happening to our smaller railroads? Does Cn need another, let alone UP? It was bad enough when CN got the Illinois Central.
I pride myself knowing that once Cn repaints all those IC units, 8733 at the Monticello Railway Museum will always wear IC's paint. I would hate to see EJ&E fall to either railroad!
Cheers, Woody.

I, for one, care about the noise in the suburbs, because thats really the only thing keepin the J' alive! Damn CN wants to take over every american railroad there is. Hell, that company already is 75% american owned. I say, KICK EM' BACK TO CANADA.
My 2 c.

Well, seeing as how there are like 2 customers on my end of the line, I'm really hoping that CN's not gonna decide that running a local would be a waste of fuel.

It's also gonna be a shame to see the fleet of SW1200s and SD38-2s fall to the scrapper's torch.

Not to mention the SD18s and SDM that still wear the DM&IR colors (Another CN masterpiece).

Wait,Did you EVEN hear about that CP-UP deal?

Although doing my research CN will have a prime link to thier Illinois Central, Grand Trunk lines. Couple of months ago I saw a photo in Trainz magazine of them testing over EJ&E, now get this, it was led by a CN GP-38 and a GT GP-38 pulling two Illinois Central cars! If CN wants a good image, how about running the CN cars? Of course I love them IC business cars! I personally think the Metra rights movement was a huge downside to the deal. I mean if they plan to run all those freight trains between the Illinois Central, GTW, and Wisconsin Central, why would they want all them Metra trains deaying them? Why can't they be content with the old Illinois Central line? They call themselves "North America's Railroad", what are the going to to now, purchase Ferromex?! I miss seeing all those Illinois Central, Wisconsin Central, and GTW units on the rails. Now we have to watch EJ&E disappear too.
