unpowered locos br

hi all out there. I have been looking for a unpowered br loco (any class dont want to upset anyone) as so to pretend its a failure and needs asstanice of another engine is there any such download avaliale or is it easy to convert one so its unpowered.

Have you tried altering its engine to that of a non-powered vehicle such as a wagon or passenger coach? (I have no idea whether this would work!)

There is an invisible signal box set up as a locomotive and can be parked on your route anywhere out of the way.

To make any locomotive act as if it were unpowered; set up the loco with a driver in the usual way, issue the command "move to locomotive" to move the driver to the invisible signal box. This enables any other loco coupled up to it to control it as if the two locos are one. The only thing that might spoil it for you is that the driverless loco is still powered.

Moving the loco driver to an out of the way loco is also a method that can be used to enable consists to be piloted or banked.

I've uploaded exactly that to the DLS, kuid:283805:6017 BR class 06 blue NOT POWERED.

It's set up exactly like a wagon, attaches a red tail lamp when you couple a loco to it, doesn't blow smoke or emit sound. It's modelled on 06003 which had it's number altered to 206003 at Eastfield depot on one side and didn't turn a wheel under it's own power while renumbered.

engine1 , to instead read: engine0, that might make it like a traincar

And there is a class 47 in Dutch livery by cmburgess. There are also many other scrap trains, just search for wreck and scrap.

The Class 87 Scrapped is not really derelict, it is just a bit dirty. It just looks like it has been in a Quarry for a while and hasn't been cleaned!

To make a dead loco, clone the loco's kuid. Edit in Explorer and edit the config.txt file to change the engine tag to 0, rename the username so it lists differently, delete any fan containers so the fans don't run and delete the script/class tags is present. Then save. If the kuid has a .gs or .gse script file, delete it too. Save and commit
