Unique Signal problem for 22?

My AI is stopping at an invisible signal that is displaying red on the HUD. However, if I hop in the cab manually, the signal turns green, and if I get back out the cab and click on "continue schedule" on the AI directions, the signal turns back red. Therefore, I have to manually run the red for an engine length and then click on "continue schedule" and he will continue as expected.

Has anyone seen this and can explain why its happening or what to do about it?

I don't know if you solved this issue yet?
From what I can tell and have seen happen to me when the train is in A.I. mode it wants to follow a path (opening a junction) that is already occupied or un-signaled...
When switching to manual mode then the signal ends the path the A.I. wants to take is why you see a green...
To verify click on the show extended path in driver mode and it should reveal your trouble spot...
