Uncouple in Surveyor ?

Hello all.
Working in surveyor I need to move two cars that are part of a string of cars.
Is there a way to uncouple the cars and move them without moving the whole string? Right now I delete the cars and then reinstall them, but that can be time consuming.
Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately no. But if you use that consist a lot you could save consist(in surveyor) and recall it at any time for any session. With or without the 2 cars .

Yes there is. Look at the bottom of the rolling stock tab, its a pair of couplers hooked together. Click on it and you can uncouple and couple. Or just press X as the hotkey (TRS2004).

Your right LGBMatt, but can you select the cars in the rolling stock tab using the get tool, then place them on the other track. Delete the others from consist.

This may vary in other versions, I don't know. But in TRS2006 this definitely works.

Press F7 for the Trains tab. One of the icons below the View Window should say 'Decouple' or something similar.

Simply press this button, select the coupler you want to unattach, then repeat for the other coupler. After this, 'Move' the cars from the middle of the consist onto an adjacent track.

Hope this helps,
Scottling

LGBMATT and scottling, you were both right. There a coupler icon in the train tab that I never noticed before:o. Thank You for your help!
