Unable to play or find any of the DLC I bought (Carbon City, Murchinson 2, Settle)

I've only recently purchased Trainz Simulator 2010: Engineers Edition. The reason I bought it was because I was impressed by the amount of content you got compared to Railworks, (which has to date already cost me over £500, whereas the engineers edition plus the three DLC's have cost less than a fifth of that and yet there appears to be just as much content included). I've now purchased all three DLC's that I know about (Carbon City, Murchison 2 and Settle & Carlisle). When I boot up any of the DLC's, all I appear to get is the base game (Trainz Simulator 2010: Engineers Edition). I cannot find any trace of any of the DLC's; that is, there doesn't appear to be any buttons within the menus that opens up any of the add-ons, despite having purchased and downloaded them.

Can anyone tell me how to find any of the above DLC's and what am I 'not' doing to get them working. (please note that I am full of morphine throughout the day, so often the simplest of things is lost to me because the opiates really mess with my head).

p.s.

I apologise if this subject matter has already been covered elsewhere in these forums. I'm new here and find it difficult to navigate at the moment.

When you start the game and get to your routes menu, click the star at the top of the list, this is the favorites only button and is set to ON by default. :wave:

Thanks Dean; i'll check that out now. :)

update;

Great, all but Murchinson 2 seem to be there. I think the other problem was that i'd not registered then on the auran site till about 10 minutes ago.

Thanks for your help; it was much appreciated.

Just to add if you are creating your own route. All the assets included in those packs are added, so you can use them in your own layouts and sessions.

Beware that not all content will run in 2010 without some problems, and that the graphics in Trainz is perhaps less than you've been used to. It may help to do a forum search on Railworks to find other users experiences. Trainz has a lot of idiosyncrasies!

Have a look at other routes that can be downloaded, many of the freely available ones are as good as the three you've mentioned. I prefer to use routes that already have "sessions" made for them, so look at the downloads available from the Auran site with the "sessions" filter up. The blue roundels on left of the menu list indicate content which should run in 2010 without tweaking (though much does anyway). There are sometimes difficulties in locating some of the necessary content as creators are apt to use what's on their own computers, perhaps not realising that they are using items that others have difficulty in locating...

A current favourite of mine is "UMR 2010"-note also sessions that are not necessarily made by the author.

Read postings on the forum page for Freeware content, you'll find large downloads may be hosted on sites other than Auran because of size limitations-there's plenty out there! There is some professional quality stuff on there (and of course on the "Payware" sites).
