Could depend on how much memory capacity your PC holds. The more items (scenery, track, rolling stock) your game has got on a route, the more graphics files are held in the rendering cache - which is pre-stored in the pc memory chips.

my dual-core 2GHz PC just about manages ok with rendering loads of differnt items all at once on a route, and to solve the stuttering frame route ( which comes from loads of things being displayed all at once) i fiddled with the in-game screen options such as setting the resource cache rate setting to 32 and disabling the TL shadows option and using the latest Direct X driver 9.0. My PC has an in-built graphics card (on the motherboard) tied directly to the CPU which is not quite up to the job in rendering loads of things all at once. but careful tweaking of the graphics options ( draw distance to the lowest levels, resource cache at 32, has sort of fixed the problem

@ Brenny - Not meant to sound narky or anything but it could also help if you posted it in the right section of the forum. It will increase your chance of getting a useful response as more people are likely to see it whereas there are a limited number of viewers of the UK screenshot thread. Although the route is a UK one, the problem is very likely to have been experienced by someone else not in the UK. Try the 2006 or general thread for a bit more of a scatter gun approach and hopefully a relevant response.

Spot on, full marks to you! Hudswell-Clarke DH917 and DH918 were used at the Howard Doris fabrication yard at Stromeferry in the late 1970s. They were named TRIBRUIT and GUINNION respectively after King Arthur's battle sites.

Here's some links to pics of the real thing:

The locos are nearly ready, just need the OK from a beta tester and I'll upload them to the DLS.

Mythical. Just like my route to run them on. PC is wrecked!
