UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

I think it the screenies look great :-D

Nice to see something other than the "Modern" age of UK Railways. I think the this thread has got some real talent and patience! to create a scene which looks like a snapshot of history or fictional!

ALL GOOD!! I'm hoping to post some of my work once I stop pressing the "Extend" key!!

Some more from Watley junction. What can I say, it's a good route!

After a rebuild:

502bogiek.jpg

This is one bogie thats wrong, but I've kept the error in as its not a show stopper, besides, I don't have enough closeups of the bogie. :( I've had to rebuild the cab and then it is on the task of texturing. I think I might just go for the other cars first, which should take a lot less time to create than the motor car, its the longest modelling I've done for a long time, but I kept correcting, changing, redoing, correcting, you name it.

Hi and merry Christmas to all!

I have been extending my Bournemouth route and it now includes all stations from Poole to Brockenhurst and even the new Forest to Lymington Pier.

I took the train for a ride today and came up with the following.........

Some of you may recognise the locations?

BROCKENHURST

Not the best of pic's but this may help.

Thats the sort of thing I need, because it answers a big question, "Where were the tripcocks?" I am guessing the tripcocks were a 1970 modification which is going to be interesting and more polys to add to the model.

Great! The perfect place to test a Class 502 unit :) (Because its third rail and I like being different.)

Fab EMU ( cig ) shots ...!! would love an emu with working doors etc !! Miss the wonderful sound they used to make ( cant believe I'm saying that .. )

Hi dgattenb

The doors on the Class 421 driving units (only) are operational - courtesy of Tempest Trainz who has an excellent site.

The thread for exploring them is here ... http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=16115&page=2

I recommend reading the thread first in order to DL the correct version and parts - The older version has opening doors but later models did away with that function but has changeable headcodes. - When you have read up on them you can visit his website by clicking his signature link.

I kept my old ones as the doors were nicer than the headcodes (for me)

Enjoy - regards, Nij

What, the squeach, clonk, tick, tick tick and Thump? Some of the CIGs Connex had were not very well maintained and they loved trackwork, oh yes, motor bogies on them started creaking. Then there was good old "hunting syndrome" on the motor cars as they hit 70mph.... thats the sideways motion you get as the cones (bits on the wheels) start going side to side, so the carriage doesn't follow a true straight path.

Great shots everyone. The 502 is looking great WEN.

DH16 stands on the North Yard headshunt at Williton, WSR.

A Christmas shot

Hi to all,
A seasonal shot from my 'A Kentish Winter' route, the Kent & East Sussex Railway, taken at Headcorn. Not many folk about but that's not surprising, it looks freezing, more like a Dickensian scene than anything else, apart from the stock of course.

A Happy Christmas to all,

Thanks very much Rob, aka LieLestoSbrat, what a marvelous Christmas pressie!

Let's all hope it's on the DLS in time for Christmas Day!

The model looks excellent.

Best Wishes,

P.S. Just seen d/load links in Freeware thread - no need for the DLS!
