UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

That is a truly incredible shot nexus - what is your graphics card?

12 000 hey? - must be annoying an Aussie posted it.

Jamie

I run a pair of ASUS EAH5870's in crossfire mode (2x1024) . Going for an upgrade in the new year up to 4GB but I've not decided whether I'll have a single card or 2 x 2048.

No need to worry about having the 12,000 post as you saved us from one of the UK based folks being able to boast about it , plus you've helped us get one closer to the Aussie screenshot total :p

Super screenshot Hope :)

If there's anything you'd like me to add or improve, give me a buzz. :D

Cheers! :)

Hey Rastis, that's pretty good going for that amount of time. Well done if I read it right.

I am off the PC mostly at the moment, just here and there (mail) due to my eye problems.

I could have sworn I posted the first 3 shots before, I must be losing the plot!
A loco crew don't let Lord Nelson's attention seeking divert them from their lunch, though the one on the left doesn't look too happy to be on camera!

Deltics D9000 'Royal Scots Grey' & D9018 'Ballymoss' at Kingston, TTG is the only real livery for a Deltic IMO!

Stupendous shots all,
big thanks to tmz06003 for the latest batch of Class 26's & 27's. Wonderful locos.

Now, if only I could get my 33's to show up in 2012..................:o

A few before & after TS2010 texture upgrading pics, although my screenshot resolution can't show the actual in game improvement

Paul, your screenshots really show incredible improvements using TS2010 textures. Are they built-in textures or have you downloaded them from other sources? If they are downloaded, your tips on where to find them would be appreciated.

Have you noticed any consequences on framerates using the hi-res textures?

All the textures are built-in into TS2010, (& 2009) & can be easily found by typing ts09 in the texture search box. Its then just a simple matter of using the replace asset tool. There are some high res textures on the dls but i have yet to try them. As for frame-rates i have not had any noticeable reduction despite my low spec system.

You really have transformed Rosworth Vale; I'm very impressed :D

Good, but could be far far better with high rez textures & track. I know i will probably be accused of banging on about it, but its so quick & simple & the transformation is well worth it. The results are like comparing a widescreen HD to a black & white 405 line tv

Paul, I disagree. Although I do like the hi res textures, I find that they are not of a sufficiently fine scale to be used in anything other than as a light dusting here and there. For me to use them, they would need to be scaled down by a further 50% at least as the built in ones look like giant grasses/weeds on the finest scale setting.

I've tried a few off the DLS but they're the same. This I suppose, is one of the limitations of such a small preview picture. If anyone does know of particularly fine and suitably dark grasses, I'm more than willing to try them.

Well for low-end computers I guess it's nice. I do like High-Resolution track, but I think what PFX has done here is great irrespective of what track or textures he's used. Vast improvement from the original/built in.

I think it's better to cater for the many rather than the few. I myself can't afford to get a top notch PC which will run Highly Detailed routes. My PC Struggles with anything city or large town based routes.

VERY FRUSTRATING!
