UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

@paul502

You would need lots of imagination to see this as being remotely like Birkenhead Central.
Not really. Just replace the modern buildings with something older, (IE grotty) remove some of the tower blocks & add a flyover. Then realign the tunnel portal, simples..:confused:

I'm still not convinced but never mind, it's a good screenshot anyway. I've travelled to Birkenhead Central 3 times this year ( from Chester) - visiting Arrowe Park Hospital. Quite impressed with the Merseyrail service.

A Midland Mainline HST pulls into London Manchester Road (unfinished big time) at platform 8 for the 13:27 service to Sheffield

Well done bah2, but I think you mean 'thrash', not 'trash'. Virgin trains... oh, you might have been correct first time.

Based on the section between Sluice Bridge to Tattershall Road level crossing at Boston, Lincolnshire.

Wow escafeld, that isent far from real, on that note, what grass do you use in the first shot under the raised section of track?

I know where it's from. It's from Greenery.com I use it it comes with a pack of 16 types of grass you can also download trees, shrubbery and track w/ballast textures from there.

Excellent shots all :cool:

Escafeld in your 2nd of your 3 superb shots what's the name of the grey crossing control building on the right hand side ?

Thanks David

Electrical substation (Building B) 75134:28122 is the one in the screenshot. There is also a smaller version Electrical substation (Building A) 75134:28121

bah2 is correct. When you've downloaded the content it will all be listed beginning with 'G:'

Boston, Lincs. OK, it's not spot on, but it was all done by looking at streetview.com Not an easy task and several adjustments had to be made. Some content, such as the wooden building bottom right, will be swapped for something more suitable and in this case, a little smaller.

My computer is panting for breath. I have Firefox open with Googlemail, Auran, Geograph and uploading to Photobucket. I'm converting .tga files into jpegs with Paint Shop Pro and running Trainz all at the same time.

Looking towards Tattershall Road level crossing

@Scratchlight

Nice screenies but I notice they're in .png format making each one approx 2Mb. They take ages to download.

Try uploading them in .jpg format in low compression, each image should then be less than 300kb making them quicker to download and view.

Thanks,

Rob.
