Were all the goods engines unavailable? :hehe:

Oh and one last thing...to be a little more accurate for that era the headcode should probably be 4Nxx, unless the train was limited to 45mph.

Excellent images and the route looks amazing. As I live in Darlington, this area has alway been of interest to me. Are you intending to eventually release this route to the DLS?

Thanks

Michael

Thanks Michael!

That's the plan, although it could be a while before that happens given I've been at it for a year already.

The route is built in TC3 but also at the moment requires a handful of TRS2006 assets (mainly as a result of dependencies in DLS assets such as bridges or rolling stock) so you'll need both to run it really.

Once the central area (which is bounded by Etherley in the west, Rough Lea and Spennymoor in the north and Brusselton and Shildon in the south) is fully landscaped I'll look at wrapping it up as a self contained route and releasing it onto the DLS (assuming it isn't too big...) before starting to work my way up the Weardale line itself.

In the meantime I'm quite likely to release a preview via my blog sooner or later. I'd like to do a bit more work on it first though - I'm currently sketching out the terrain around the branch from Eldon Lane Junction to West Auckland.

Could have been said without re posting all the bleed'n pics, please have a bit of respect for those without broadband.

Nice shots all.

Local Railway historian Louis has managed to get quite a collection of Railway memorabilia and station infastructure down on his allotment, new to the collection is a modern station lamp complete with sign.

Yeah, very good young emo, nice subject idea and I love those on the last page, all trees, absolutely perfect......

Gotta lurve Tony and the rest of the UK Trainzer crew for all our fab old BR blue locos.....

Sorry about the graphics card quality, it's brand new and I'm still coming to terms with it, I'll get it mastered sooooooooon....:hehe:

Great page of shots so far.

Somewhere in particular.............???

That's a lovely shot, but aren't EE Type 4s a bit heavy for Stainmore? ;)

By the way, I've started landscaping the tunnel branch to West Auckland now. Getting ever closer to heading in your direction. :)

Thanks Michael!

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Your route sounds really interesting and I look forward to any release and I have book marked your blog and I shall watch with interest.

Thanks

Lovely screenies George, super looking locomotives. I'm not quite so sure about that foliage though personally......:hehe::hehe:

My computer now wont let me put any screenies on my posts!!:'(
But I am going to sort it out once and for all! The battle begins tonight. :o Lol.

Ha-ha, you're right about the 40's.... but this isn't Stainmore :hehe:. I'll post some more later....

Stainmore is still getting done, just slower these days - I have about 23 miles now in reasonable shape. Still no further your way though - scenery ends a mile from Barney at Coal Road where the single track starts.

I wasn't keen on the Speedtrees to start with but they are growing on me. Prefer them over the old style trees now, just wish they didn't have this stupid bug on ATI cards! I think if they expand the range of shrubs and grass and that sort of stuff (and fix the ATI bug), it will leave us with a decent range of more up-to-date trees.

Whats this ATI bug i keep hearing of, i have an ati graphics card, and im waiting for my ts2010 to come.... Im getting worried especially after the randomness of ts2009!!! :SSS

When the trees are in mid range (very far away and right close up is fine) the leaves disappear and you just get the bare branches.
