Alone in the Dark? (part 2)

More midnight meanderings...

One of several farms in the Hunwick area. This one is right on the edge of the landscaped area - you just can't see the bare baseboards behind it because of the terrain!

Coundongate station approach. The station is just down the hill to the left of the wall.

First Ever Post on this Forum!

Finally, got round to some picture taking and my first ever post on this forum!(I've been waiting ages to do this) Anyway, here are some pictures of my WIP route, Stenston Junction. It is a branch of the mainline from London St Pancras to Sheffield. The line turns off at Leicester and heads through Bereldon Moor. The line goes under the moor and turns up at Stenston Junction Station. After that, the line heads up to Skegness, while another branch line goes over and joins up with the Mainline to Nottingham at the Derby junction. The entire line is completely fictional.

A Class 222 awaits departure with a service to Skegness via Nottingham.

The Junction itself. The line branching off to the left is operated by Virgin Trains and goes to Crewe. The mainline continues off to the right, heading towards Skegeness and the rest of the 'Midland Mainline'.
The station is operated by Midland Mainline, (Now known as EMT, but I prefer midland Mainline)Vigin Trains and Valley Line trains, which go on a country route all the way to York. As you mau have noticed in the Class 222 pic above, there is a Class 158. That is the shuttle service whch runs between Leicester and Skegness.

This is only my best work, and I must say, I am not the best route builder ever, but if you think that I could add any improvements, please just say. More pictures coming soon!

Monday Morning Mist

It's a misty, cold december morning at Stenston Junction. The sun has just risen, and the first trains of the day have just turned up. The 06:49 Shuttle service from Skegness has just arrived.

Usually, Class 158's only have 3 coaches, but I like them with 6 coaches. Should have some pics coming later today.

You beat me to it! For completeness the other one is KUID:97212:1700 ("tractor with front loader").

I'm trying to keep to DLS/built in assets where possible, and AFAIK there is only one asset used used on the route which isn't on the DLS or a TC3/TRS2006 built-in ...and that's a cow (so no big loss if it's not there!).

Monday Morning Mist (Continued...)

Well, the mist cleared up and turned into a warm, winter day at Stenston. But none of this stoped the station from being as lively and busy as it always is...

Screen_033.jpg

A very busy moment, as 2 Blue Class 73's, hauling a long coal train, pass through, heading to Stoke, while a Class 222 from London ends it journey on platfrom 7.

Screen_034.jpg

Over looking the station, the coal train turns off onto the Virgin lines.

This is as far as I have built on this route towards Leicester. The tunnels lead under Bereldon Moor. I am hoping to do more work on that pat of the line in the next week, if I can get Stenston Station Finished. The train in the picture, is the 12:58 service to London St Pancras via Leicester.
