UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

builder300544 would you be so kind as to tell me where i can download that metro train shown in one of your shots? :)

Hi,

Yes I see what you mean. Below is an extract from Wikipedia

The station was originally opened in 1864 as Gosforth station and was later renamed to South Gosforth in 1905[1]. An original North Eastern Railway footbridge remains in use at South Gosforth. A similar footbridge removed from Percy Main station has been preserved by the National Railway Museum in York.[2]

Also I,ve been the wrong side of 60 for a few years now:) . Trouble is I can,t use my bus pass on the Metro System.

Regards, John

Its something I 'Gmaxed' myself over a year ago but never considered it worthy of uploading to the DLS. Still requires a lot of work.

However if you email me (see my profile) I.ll gladly send you the CDP files.

Been tinkering

As noted above, I have been tinkering and I've 'tinkered' to quite an extent. Here are a few shots, well, 8 actually, so I put them up in two posts.
This is a new route that just began as another elevated experiment and has got out of hand!

This shows where a portal goes to...

3_Avalon__5.jpg

The shots are all of a small'ish station at the end of one of the many runs.
The idea is that the big main station is where the operator would be stationed (ha ha) and send trains out to portals or return runs (not many of those). I have tried this out and it works pretty well.

Next lot coming

Been working on some Class 373 enginesounds and hornsounds, just uploaded to the DLS :) Will be up when they are approved.

Nice route Angela :)

Oh and, does anyone know of any CTRL routes?

Naming

The route will most likely be called Avalon. That's its title at the moment. The station seen here is Guinevere station.

God bless,

Angela

Regarding builders footbridge, they were a standard pattern introduced by the North Eastern Railway in (I think) 1905 and had numbers cast into each segment so that they could be built "Meccano style" in different configurations with stairs going in different directions. The ones at Goathland and Pickering stations are not original to the stations but were recovered from other sitesm and one at Ryhope station still stands although the line was closed many years ago.The footbridge at Grosmont is of wrought iron lattice pattern and not NER pattern.

Are the Reskins of Dubstars 90 anywhere to download yet?

Mine aren't. I did do an EWS one, but didn't like the look of it so that won't see the light of day; However the NEX Anglia one in those screenies and also the GNER one I did a long while ago should be released at some point :)

@ Nexus - Thanks, glad you like it......be good if you could release that NEX silver & white 90 reskin that you posted a pic of the other day :D

I've done two reskins, which are actually screenshotted on page 328, of a Freightliner and a ONE Anglia 90

I'm not releasing mine since I don't have permission to

From Dubstar's site:
"On Donationware I am allowing reskins without prior approval. I would however ask that the model mesh is only obtained via this site."
