UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Great stuff Ennis. Just thinking that those class 20s in the foreground have an interesting sheen on them....what's their kuids?
Thanks Paul. I've got three different 20s in the yard, all by tmz06003, as follow.

After about 12 hours 'kit bashing', I have something not dissimilar to Bishopbriggs station.

Don't believe everything you were taught, the S&D never really closed in 1966 and indeed the switch to diesel traction was made. In the summer of 1975, class 40 40017 is seen heading towards Templecombe with 7 blue and grey mk1s in tow. S&D practices hadn't changed much; the disc code was still used by the footplate crews as a homage to the old S&D headcodes in steam days and the quirky S&D practices at Templecombe remained.

Seen here passing through Wyke Champflower:

Passing through Cole. The BR(S) nameboard was still in place at this time and you'd be hard pressed to spot any differences from steam days.

As we all sadly know, the S&D did in fact close in 1966 and no scheduled diesel services ever operated over the line (though a handful of DMU railtours did visit in the late 50s/early 60s). BR blue is not my cup of tea however the new BR Blue pack is excellent and I would highly recommend to anyone who does have an interest in that era. It's nice to see proper BR taillamps too instead of the modern lamps seen previously!

Great to see these screenshots PLP. I was wondering if we might see screenies of the new BR blue models from N3V. It's disappointing they're only available to Gold members (my dilemma is that my Plus membership runs to mid-October), but maybe one day they'll be available to buy.

In the meantime, I guess I'll soldier on with the class 40 I've got:

Nice shots Barney! Re. the class 47 - is it only the class 47/4? And can you toggle the filled headcode and high intensity lamp? If not, then it's only really suitable for the 1980s.

Also re. the class 40 - if it's carrying a TOPS number, is there a double dot headcode option? Also not sure about the red buffer beam (though I'll stand corrected).

It is a 47/4 yeah, not sure about the other two things it does have quite a few parts which can be toggled on or off on the 47 in the settings which is quite handy!

Somewhat bosseyed class 40 there Barney! But basically looking very good and with yours and JBVs' new stuff even better. Looking forward to upgrading to Gold when my Plus subscription ends in October.
