'Ow far 'Sarf' are you comin wiv the GCR me ol' China? Marleybown?

As I'm (slowly) doing a 'Virtual Representation' (good phrase) of the GER and a little bit of the GNR (Sandy to Peterbrough) in LNER/BR days maybe we should link these routes at some stage in the future.

It'll be a while darn the rowd i figures, but worf a fort Guv?

Sorry....Cant concentrate coz of teh rugby world cup and keep slipping into EastEnders mode!

Leicester atm as the preserved line, but my friend you have given me an idea to build the line as it was I'll do some reasearch and come back to you. ;)

Back To The Ole Valley

Of a 7F and 9F Double heading on the 9.30 train from Gainsbourogh to Templebay.

Here we see the train departing from Wolverton.

Last Days On The Ole Valley Line 1967

These pictures show the last weeks of operation on the Ole Valley Line From Gainsbourogh to Templebay.

9F 92116 Pulls a Down Van train to Olemouth on 16/05/1967

Here we see Class 33 D6663 Pulls the up Express to Gainsbourogh and on to Timpler To meat the Ex-LMS Line on the 21/09/1967.

The Line Finally Closed on the 05/12/1967 between Templebay and Gainsbourogh and the line from Timpler to Gainsbourogh was closed on 22/05/1968.

The Line between Gainsbourogh and Templebay was finally reopened on 07/06/1990.
 
Thanks Harcourt! This is a "real lfe location" and there used to be a footbridge across the goods yard.It appears on a lithograph of Sunderland from 1860 but I"ve never found an actual photo of it....:o
 
Fantastic pics guys, I have a few from a revamped route I've done from an original German layout....but the texturing and format makes it so British....enjoy.
