UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Actually, mightyena
I think the 151 looks much better in those second shots you posted. I like the clean version more, as modern multiple units are generally kept very clean. It tends be freight locos that are more grimy.

Having failed on an evening milk train, a BR 'Britannia' 7MT was rescued by an ex-LMS 'Black 5' and the pair are seen struggling to restart the heavy train, although only made heavy by the Pacific's dead weight.
Cheers

A few from Lymechurch. Lymechurch is on the suburb orbital route in West London, and back in BR days was a 2 platform terminus. However in 2005 SWT closed Platform 2 and made Westward Hill the final station. However to keep this major line open, SWT operates a daily off-peak parliamentary train to the station which acts as a shuttle to Westward Hill. It is run using a single car of modified Class 419 stock in Network Rail Yellow. Here are some pics.

SWT stables 444's and 450's on the ex-platform 2. Note that there is no footbridge over to it, the old one was demolished in 2005.

Looking east.

A route 131 bus passes, with a preserved routemaster behind it.

The 10:41 parliamentary train approaches.

A quick close-up snap

A square of wasteland used for buses, as an office, and a Network Rail car park. The 419 is also stabled here, as well as the odd loco serving the refinery.

Leaving Lymechurch.
SWT have announced plans to re-instate Platform 2, build the never built 3&4 and restore Lymechurch as the Eastern terminus of the line in 2014.

Wow, that's a great screenshot! Almost like Real Life!

I was kindly sent some photos of Seacroft station by Nick Catford of disused-stations.org.uk so here's an update

Glasgow Central Bridge

Very much a work in progress. Railway bridge into Glasgow Central station - inspired by the actual one but (like the route) is not a faithful representation. The piers are a fixed scenery object and the deck is a spline - I've still to do the supporting girders on it which will be a job for a wet Sunday afternoon sometime. These were created in Google Sketchup as were the quay spline (which is based on the new one at Atlantic Quay) and the road with bus lanes. The grass is from the DLS.

@escafield Seacroft's looking superb! Good job :)

A few from me:

The local service waits at Oxby Junction for access to the single track branch:

Meanwhile a 47 brings in a trial EMU design from the Hayden Trains test track, ready to enter trial services on the Hayden & Puttingham Rapid Transit system:

Seen here still in its original Russian livery:

And finally, a view from the one of the train inspection team on board, of the local 150/153:

@Paulsw2 the canopy is called Stranorlar canopy KUID:169585:37046. I used 2 splines of it side by side to cover the wider platform.

@Bhorton the metro train came from www.rutrainz.com (might be helpful to use google translate as its all in russian). It's under Metro -> Rolling stock

They're the Plymouth buildings aren't they, by marky7890?

Thanks James, I have that canopy, just forgotten all about it! Excellent use of it in your pics.

Paul
