9F goods, southern England

Decided to do a bit more before mowing the lawn.~image snipped~
Funny you should say that Dave. I’ve just finished mine. Nice day, almost too good to be indoors.

Bur indoors it is!

Although this has jayholland’s new model of Salisbury Cathedral centre scene, the route it’s placed in is not prototypical.

I’m in the process of building Salisbury on a separate route as it was when the Market Branch Siding and Milford Goods Station were operational (and still existed), but there’s a long way to go. The track is down but I’m tweaking the gradients, then there is all of the terrain smoothing, landscaping and texturing to be completed.

Meanwhile, here’s the Cathedral (in a vaguely south Wiltshire setting) with the 9F somewhere between what might be Salisbury and Wilton (artistic licence being claimed!)

hholdenaz - Of course, it was just a weak joke.

Love the screenshot mezzoprezzo.

Wish I could get the 9f to work. The tender shows, but not the loco and yet it says no missing dependencies. Anyway, it's too heavy for the weak bridges on the Skeggie line, but I hear there is to be a special hauled by 20s in July. Must get a shot of those.

Looks superb Stovepipe , David and Charles on the right ?
Great shots all :)

Leicesborough , It's based on Leicester but I've altered it to suit hence the new name ;)

nexus, if you do any routes that are actually Leicester then I will have to kill you if it's not released. :D
(I was born and bred in Leicester in case you're wondering.)

I love all your screenies, proper fab!!

That's good news, Victorian, well done.

I can only find one photograph of Little Steeping, Lincs, as it was during its working life, so although I've used an old map there's a little guess work going on here.

More West London themed ones from me:

A late running Silverlink Class 313 is further delayed by a Rake of D stock crossing the flat junction at Rillington Place.
The track in the foreground is the freight only line, which is in regular use due to the line being a useful alternative to the West London Line for freight from the south west heading for North London.

A rake of D stock is about to ascend the gradient to reach Calvert Green, and a Piccadilly Line 73 stock is on its way to Heathrow. The stations on this route are named after cultural influences in the west London area. (Kudos to anyone who can guess the names meaning, hint: he's the vocalist and guitarist for a well known prog band)

A Class 66 passes the long disused engineers sidings, just south of Brock Park Station. Gah I wish I pressed Ctrl H.
(More kudos to anyone who can guess this name, hint: he's also in the same band as the previous name I mentioned.)

Dave,

> I can only find one photograph of Little Steeping, Lincs, as it was during its working life

Putting "Little Steeping railway station" into

Google Images
http://www.google.co.uk/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi

will give you a lot more (some during its operation), including, if you follow the right link

http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/l/little_steeping/

Of course, you can always enter just "Little Steeping" into Google images to get more of the surrounding countyside.

However, giving the images a quick look myself (yet having never been there) I can say you certainly seem to be getting the spirit of the place.

Peter.

@ Klambert............Robert Calvert, frontman of Hawkwind & Dave Brock band member? I'm a Reggae man myself though.

Gam :D

Yep correct, Dave Brock was another guitarist/vocalist, addicted to Masters of the Universe song at the moment. I am partial to a bit of Ska myself, Prince Buster, Toots and the Maytals and The Specials etc.

Great shots all

Reading around the time that Merlin began to smoke ;)
