Really great shots on here recently.
@Robd - nice to see the E4 and Metropolitan set appearing on the Ashburton branch. Just wondering if they got a bit lost after Uxbridge?!
@Bernard430 - great storyboard about the Leader blowing up on a preservation special. Though I think you're being a bit hard on the boiler which apparently was very good. It's just the rest that was half-cocked!

Here's some shots from my Lavenham WIP route set in the harsh winter of 1962/63.

J94 'austerity' 0-6-0ST 68008 is shunting in Lavenham's yard having brought some coal wagons down from Sudbury and Long Melford.
Lavenhamwinter03.jpg

A bleak snowscape at Lavenham as the J94 carries on shunting the yard. The two coal wagons in the siding at bottom right were caught in last night's snow storm and are now semi buried in a drift.

Lavenhamwinter04.jpg

The crew of 68008 take a break while figuring out whether to leave the two five plank wagons to thaw out or to shunt them in to their train due to leave in two hours for Bury St Edmunds. There will certainly be a need for those two wagons of coal this winter!

Lavenhamwinter08.jpg

Looks like they've opted to leave the two stranded wagons as they couple up to the short consist of MCVs. Meanwhile, the snow has started again....

Happy New Year to all!

I haven't been able to use my copy of Trainz Classics 3 since my PC died earlier this year. Almost 2 years of route building gone down the pan! But I always check this thread at least twice a week and I'm amazed to see how much so many other users enjoy this simulator and share your hard work with the world! It's great to see so many shots of all classes of route builders. It shows a real element of creativity and precision.

I hope 2013 will be the year I can finally get back to work on my route (which will now probably need to be transferred to a newer version of trainz before I proceed with it.

Thanks to everybody who posts in here! All stunning shots!

Paul

They do get around and about nowadays! I like the Ashburton branch route, nice and summery, just like the summer we haven't had this past year! I do like your wintery scenes, very Christmas card like scenes. All the Best for 2013 to you and everyone.

Rob.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaapy new year
(11 mins of fireworks! Probably spending what is left of the Olympic opening ceremony money!)
I wish you all a brilliant and prosperous 2013, and that it is as good as this year. Thanks for being a wonderful community.

Happy New Year!
Oh-and a quick comparison...
483 at Shanklin in Trainz:

483 at Shanklin in Failworks:

TBH I'm rather warming to Railworks, but Trainz is much better overall.

I was going to Edit the post above but cannot work out how to add anything...

So here are a few shots of my WCL Section 3 at Bruton where I have at last begun to add the assets I made.

Bruton_Silver_Street2_zps433e74fb.jpg

The view along Silver Street taken from almost beside St Mary's church.

Bruton_Spar3_zps6897a6f2.jpg

And turning slightly right we look up the road to the Spa (and other ) shops.

Bruton_Kings1_zpsbd07409a.jpg

Finally Kings School and some of its many assets.

Lots to be done yet but my eyes can only work in Trainz or indeed on the PC for so long.

Thanks to (a more complicated) Photobucket.
