Hello all, hope you had a great Christmas, I know I did!

@NathanMallard I don't know how to put this, but what on earth is that grey 'steam' train of sorts (supreme leader I think you called it)? And is it up for download? ;)

Anyways, Midland Mainline has seen an increase in passenger numbers to Stenstone and Antonbury, for both tourism and buisness. As a result, new services are being put in place, and new, express services (only calling at Leicester, Stenstone and Antonbury) in the form of dual-length Class 222's are going to be handling the job. 8 services a day will be dual length, 4 in either direction, which will take the place of 2 standard length services in either direction (sorry if this is confusing). And hey, look, there's one now!:

A dual-length Meridian rips through Edgeburton with the lunchtime St Pancras - Antonbury service

Meanwhile, on the slow line platforms, a 158 awaits clearance to leave the station with a service Skegness via Grantham (I believe this is possible)

It is the SR/BR Bulleid 'Leader' 0-6-6-0 Locomotive,<KUID:381430:2840>, by jayholland. The real thing was impressive looking, but horribly flawed. Freak vacuums in the cab, axelbox problems, the fireman passing out of heat exhaustion, I could go on and on....

@NathanMallard Thanks for the help with the Loco! If anyone else wants 'Leader' (see below) follow this link and search for 'bulleid'. You'll need to make an account (takes literally a minute) and download all of the files for it to work :) BTW, works perfectly in TS2010EE with no errors so far: http://trainzproroutes.org/tprdownloads/index.php?act=search

Talking of the Leader, as a semi-Christmas treat, 'Leader' has come on a rail tour to the Midlands, and is heading down to St Pancras for this evening. Her lunch time stop takes her to Stenstone...

All is going well, and the train departs. But then, just 1/4 of a mile out of Stenstone station...

An explosion comes from the boiler! The preservation society immediately call up the emergency services. However, in their desperation to save the locomotive before anything else happens, they tell the services "It's a terrorist attack!" to get a few more vehicles onto the scene! Meanwhile, the train has come to a halt right on the mainline track out of the station, so the emergency services have to smash through the wall and onto the track!

The arrive at the train just in time! A huge boiler rupture has occurred & the train is leaking steam at a huge rate - the pressure is increasing! But the emergency services save the day and manage to let out the steam in other places in order to stop a huge explosion. However, in that time, the fire has got worse...

The huge emergency crew breathe a sigh of relief. However, I'm not sure the preservation society (for 'Leader') are very happy with them cutting holes in the side of the loco to release the pressure, but at the same time, their call to a 'terrorist attack' hasn't exactly made the emergency services happy either... :hehe:

The large amount of passengers on board have made their way onto the side of the track, with only a few injuries from the jolt caused by stopping the train so quickly.

Ohhh it's an eventful Christmas!
