UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Great screenshots Tanker; - the little engine that could!

Sorting out accurate locomotive numbers and where they worked and when can be a difficult task. I must confess that I do tend to be be a bit lax about such things, but when I do come across useful information for a locomotive class I do try to get it somewhere close to being right.

It really is. It has an enormous archive of every single locomotive that was ever owned by British Railways. I used it to find all the locomotives that were allocated on the GCR Mainline from 1948 to 1966. It's incredible!

Having halfway finished its journey, 30277 continues to the mills on the outskirts of Dearnby. It's still early so traffic on the line through Casterford is lax which makes it an easy trip for the little G6. To the children heading off to school, 30277 is a very welcome sight. It tends to be quite popular with children and train spotters alike as this is its only journey this far away from its sheds on its daily workings. As it passes through Casterford, 30277 gives a quick blow of its whistle and continues onward to the mills to deliver its goods.

Thanks KotangaGirl. Sorry about the huge screenshot posts, I just got so wrapped up in the little story I was making that and I didn't notice how many I was posting!

Here's something different: In honor of Trainboi1's V2 Update announcement, here's a photo from the GCR. V2 #60800 is running with an express to Sheffield. Aside from the Standard 4s, Trainboi's V2 is one of my favorite models that he has made.

V2's are impressive engines. As a young railway enthusiast they very much left the impression of being a sports car version of the A1/A3's and I alway liked the look of them.

And don't worry about the number of screenshots in your posts, - I enjoyed the story you were telling.
