UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Speaking of GWR broad gauge

I've been surprised at how much is available

Especially locomotives

These are from the DLS, Steve Flander's ING4Trainz, and PaulzTrainz. I'm not showing coaches/carriages yet since I'm expecting more from Paul. (Suggestions for other sources are welcome)

Edit: And why am I interested in GWR broad gauge again? I have my reasons...

:hehe:

A CrossCountry Voyager departs for Halesford in my fictional devon/cornwall inspired route.

Did you think you could run 7ft gauge engines on 4ft 8in track and get away with it... ;) busted!

Your screenies are very nice however, nice to see some Victoriana however now it's time for some puny, new fangled standard gauge action from 1903...

Yeah, well, I'm debating whether to replace the track with broad gauge. But if I do that then I have to go through and start backdating the whole route. I'm not sure at this point that I'm up for that so, some test runs. :D

Nobody1, the Ivatt and BR Standard 2MT 2-6-0 and 2-6-2T engines are valued by preserved/heritage railways because they are economical and well suited to hauling three or four coach trains outside of the peak summer season. They cost a lot less to run than a loco the size of a 5MT/Black Five/B1.

Thanks for the information on the Ivatt classes, borderreiver :)
